Right after getting out of jail, Robert Morris publicly asked for forgiveness and said his time behind bars gave him “a moment of true reckoning” and “opened my eyes.” He admitted the damage he caused and apologized to believers.
But Cindy Clemishire made it clear—yes, she forgave him, but “forgiveness… does not erase the truth.” She also stressed, “it was not a relationship — it was a crime,” and questioned whether his apology was truly from the heart.
Morris has already pleaded guilty and paid restitution, but he still faces a lawsuit from Clemishire. Now he says he’ll live quietly, acknowledging, “a man reaps what he sows,” while hoping for “a different harvest” ahead.
