Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco says he plans to challenge California’s political establishment as he runs for governor, blaming decades of Democratic leadership for the state’s problems.
Previously, Bianco said the decision to run came after “a lot of prayer” and seeking God’s guidance. When asked about faith and leadership, he said, “I think it’s the most important thing,” explaining that without faith in God, the things he has seen in law enforcement “would probably be unbearable.”
His Christian convictions came through clearly on key issues too. On abortion, he said, “there is no question that life begins at conception.” On parental rights, he said, “God gave parents children. He did not give government children.” He argued that California needs to bring back morals, values, and a stronger biblical foundation in public life.
