Actor Skeet Ulrich, known for films like Scream, told fans at the Scaradise 2026 horror convention in Tampa, Florida that the strangest gift he has ever received from a fan was a personalized Bible with his name embossed on it.
During a Q&A session, Ulrich described the gift as “bold,” “intriguing,” and somewhat “shocking,” noting that he wasn’t raised in a religious family and didn’t expect such a present.
The Bible was given to him by Dylan Novak, founder of the ministry Celebrity Evangelist, which aims to share the gospel with celebrities.
Since launching the ministry in 2015, Novak has attended fan conventions and meet-and-greets—often paying for access—to personally give celebrities customized Bibles and evangelistic materials.
According to the ministry, Novak has shared the gospel with more than 2,000 celebrities through these encounters.
