Sophie Cunningham of the Indiana Fever is putting her faith front and center after choosing to be baptized again—this time as an adult.
Though she was baptized as a child, she said she felt “a tug on my heart to do it on my terms,” describing the decision as deeply personal and meaningful.
Reflecting on the moment, she called it “one of the better things I’ve done in my life,” and simply added, “Thank you, Jesus.”
For Cunningham, the second baptism wasn’t about tradition—it was about ownership of her faith. “I’ve always been a faithful person,” she explained, “but I just feel like now it’s my own decision.”
