A former Iranian Christian prisoner, Maryam Rostampour Keller, believes Iran is on the brink of a powerful spiritual awakening as political upheaval weakens its Islamic regime.
Drawing from her own testimony of encountering Jesus as a teenager and later risking her life to share the Gospel, she says many Iranians are spiritually hungry and open to Christ.
She describes the situation not just as political conflict, but as a deeper “spiritual battle” between good and evil—one that calls the global church to pray and stand with the people of Iran. Despite years of oppression, underground believers and even non-Christians are longing for truth, freedom, and a personal relationship with God.
Rostampour urges Christians worldwide to intercede for Iran and prepare for what she believes will be a harvest of faith. She sees the possible fall of the regime not as the end, but as the beginning of a widespread turning to Jesus across Iran and even the broader Middle East.
