Former Southern Baptist Convention president Steve Gaines, longtime pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Tennessee, has entered hospice care as he continues battling cancer.
Gaines, who revealed in 2023 that he had kidney cancer that later spread to his lungs, had already stepped into a pastor emeritus role after leading the megachurch for nearly two decades.
Church leaders asked the congregation to pray for Gaines, his wife Donna, and their family during this difficult season… ❤
