Texas authorities confirmed that Camila Mendoza Olmos, a 19-year-old from San Antonio who went missing on Christmas Eve, died by suicide.
Her body was found Tuesday in a field a few hundred yards from her home, next to a gun. The police said the medical examiner ruled the cause of death a gunshot wound to the head, with no signs of foul play.
Family members thanked the community for its prayers and said, “Our beloved Camila Mendoza Olmos is now with the Good Lord.”
