Francis Chan is one of the most recognizable Christian leaders featured in the new docudrama That They May Be One, a nationwide theatrical release inspired by Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21: “that they may all be one.”
Known for his passionate calls to radical discipleship and wholehearted surrender to Christ, Chan joins pastors and ministry leaders from different Christian traditions to deliver a simple but urgent message: the Church must put Jesus above politics, denominations and personal agendas. The film explores how true unity is not achieved by compromising biblical truth, but by humbling ourselves before God and yielding to the Holy Spirit.
Pastor James Ward Jr., another featured voice in the film, said the fulfillment of Jesus’ prayer depends on believers “surrendering and yielding to the work of the Holy Spirit.” He believes that if Christians genuinely became one in Christ, it could lead to “the greatest awakening and revival that we’ve ever seen in the world.”
