The 22-year-old daughter of Minnesota GOP gubernatorial candidate Jeff Johnson was allegedly stabbed to death Saturday night in St. Cloud.
Officers found Hallie Marie Tobler with multiple stab wounds. Her husband, 23-year-old Dylan Michael Tobler, was also at the scene with suspected self-inflicted injuries. She was pronounced dead, and he is hospitalized in stable condition and in police custody, facing homicide-related charges.
The Minnesota Republican Party said it was “heartbroken,” and Johnson has suspended his campaign “out of respect for his family and the enormity of this loss.”
