Trump Marks Anniversary, Defends Policies and Religious Liberty

Donald Trump claimed Tuesday that the United States would have been destroyed “very quickly” if Kamala Harris had won the 2024 election, marking the one-year anniversary of his second inauguration.

Trump criticized former President Joe Biden, said his administration has reversed key Biden-era policies, and declared that “America is respected again on the world stage.”

During the briefing, Trump said he believes God is “very proud” of the job he has done, citing his administration’s focus on religious liberty and protection of Christians and Jews worldwide.

He pointed to the creation of a White House Religious Liberty Commission and U.S. actions against Islamic State militants abroad.

Trump also defended ICE operations, dismissing protests in cities like Minneapolis as the work of “professional agitators,” and condemned former CNN host Don Lemon for joining a group that disrupted Cities Church in St. Paul.

Trump praised lead pastor Jonathan Parnell for calmly asking the group to leave, calling the incident inside the church “horrible.”
