Trump to Read 2 Chronicles in Oval Office for America Reads the Bible

President Donald J. Trump is set to take part in America Reads the Bible from the Oval Office by reading 2 Chronicles 7:11–22 during the 6–7 p.m. ET hour on Tuesday, April 21.

The weeklong event is tied to America’s 250th anniversary and is being framed as both a national Bible reading and, in the organizers’ words, a “spiritual celebration of our nation’s founding ideals.”

The White House confirmed Trump’s involvement, and his reading was prerecorded. In a statement, Trump praised the effort, saying, “Together, we will honor Holy Scripture, renew our faith” and “rededicate the United States as one Nation under God.”

Viewers can watch through the event livestream or the Great American Pure Flix app, while people attending in person at the Museum of the Bible in Washington can also purchase tickets online.
