Trump’s Holy Week Message Highlights Resurrection Hope

President Donald Trump shared a faith-centered message for Holy Week, saying he’s “proud to join with Christians across the country and around the world” in celebrating what he called “the most glorious miracle in all of time”—the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He reflected on Christ’s life, death, and resurrection, saying Jesus “displayed true humility” in His life and “modeled true love” in His death. Trump emphasized that the resurrection proves “even death itself will not silence those who place their trust in Almighty God.”

Quoting Scripture, he pointed to John 3:16—“for God so loved the world…”—calling eternal life “such beautiful words.” He said Easter reminds believers that because of the cross, “all of us can live every day with hope,” confident that “evil and wickedness will not prevail.”

Trump also spoke about what he sees as a spiritual revival in the U.S., saying, “to be a great nation, you must have religion and you must have God.” He claimed that churches are becoming “fuller, younger, and more faithful” and that “religion is growing again… for the first time in decades.”

He wished everyone a “Happy Easter,” adding, “May God bless you. May God bless the United States of America,” and saying the country is “doing so well like never before.”
