During a recent press briefing, U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said ‘Operation Epic Fury’ responds to what he described as decades of Iranian hostility toward the United States, including attacks carried out through Iranian-backed militias and the IRGC.
Hegseth warned that anyone who kills or threatens Americans will be hunted down and stressed that Iran must never obtain nuclear weapons.
When asked about U.S. service members currently in danger, Hegseth said he and his family pray daily for the troops and for wisdom and courage in decision-making.
He emphasized that military recommendations to the president are made prayerfully and with deep concern for the lives of those serving.
