JD Vance delivered a forceful pro-life message during his March for Life speech, warning that society risks returning to “paganism” if it continues to treat unborn children as disposable.
“From the skeletons in brothels to the child sacrifice of the Mayans,” Vance said, arguing that “the mark of barbarism is that we treat babies like inconveniences to be discarded rather than the blessings to cherish.”
He pointed instead to the Christian belief that “each life is fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator.”
Vance stressed that the March for Life is not only about politics, but about whether America will remain “a civilization under God.”
He criticized what he described as the far left’s message to young people that marriage and children are obstacles, calling it a lie.
“We know that life is a gift. We know that babies are precious,” he said, adding that families are central to God’s design for society.
Vance urged Americans to seek meaning not in comfort or career alone, but in “dedicating yourself to the creation and sustenance of human life.”
