VCU Health Fires Nurse Over Anti-ICE Viral Videos

A nurse at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health has been fired after posting viral videos that appeared to encourage harming or sabotaging ICE agents.

VCU Health confirmed Tuesday night that the employee is no longer with the hospital following an investigation, adding that it has met its reporting requirements under Virginia law.

The videos, originally shared on a now-deleted TikTok account, included suggestions such as using syringes filled with saline or the paralytic drug succinylcholine as a “deterrent,” spraying poison ivy-infused water, and even encouraging women to spike ICE agents’ drinks to “incapacitate” them.

VCU Health called the content “highly inappropriate” and said it does not reflect the values of the health system. VCU Police also assisted in the investigation.
